Supposedly Intel will introduce the upcoming processors of the Coffee Lake generation on October 5, 2017.
With the Coffee-Lake generation, Intel will redesign the Core-i CPUs and use more than four physical CPU cores in consumer processors for the first time. The absolute top model of the new series will be the Core i7-8700K with six cores and HyperThreading, which in multi-core benchmarks can even compete with the Ryzen 7 CPUs with eight cores. Together with the new processors Intel is also expected to introduce a new socket LGA 1151v2 and the 300-generation chipset.
The Z370 chipset , however, will only be a refresh of the Z270 chipset, which is merely retrofitted with the USB 3.1 Gen2 standard.
The new platform of the eighth generation Core-i processors for the desktop on October 5, 2017 is to come on the market. This is reported by the colleagues of Videocardz and their thesis with a screenshot of a merchandise management system, which calls the release date.
